Trend Talk: Cold Shoulder

I’ll be honest, at first I absolutely hated the cold shoulder trend. Unless you’re wearing a sleeveless top, why would you intentionally not have fabric covering your shoulders? I didn’t get it. Maybe it’s because I’m always cold, but I wasn’t going to be caught dead in a cold shoulder top.

Fast-forward about two years and I’m HOOKED!

It’s pretty impressive for a fashion trend to endure as many consecutive seasons as cold shoulder has, so if you haven’t tried it yet, I definitely recommend that you give it a go ASAP!

I recently found the perfect linen cold shoulder top in navy. It works for all seasons and many different occasions; I’ve worn it to work, girls nights and on vacation. And this style of top is flattering for women of all ages and shapes.

I’m sure you’ve seen this trend while shopping lately, but have you tried it? Do you like it? Let us know with a comment.

  1. This style is PERFECT for those women who might not like their upper arms … ! Maybe by next summer I can get mine toned up! I had gotten a very unique cold shoulder top in 2009, wore twice and then consigned it. 🙁 Wish I kept it!

  2. Candace,

It would look great on someone that is plus size or has broad shoulders. It looks great on everyone!!

  3. Is it attractive for broad shoulder women as well? Or if you are plus size? It looks very pretty!
