Transition Your Wardrobe to Fall

Now that it’s October, cooler weather is on its way. Fall is a favorite season for many in Minnesota (including me!), however, I always have a hard time finding the right outfit. In the morning and at night it’s freezing, but during the day it’s the perfect mild temperature. I’ve found that layering is the way to go this time of year.

Transitioning your wardrobe is all about swapping out and adding a few pieces to the basics that you already have in your closet to make new season-appropriate outfits. For example, I like to continue to wear my favorite denim summer dress in the fall. For my recent trip to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, I added burgundy tights and black booties to make the dress a touch warmer and more autumn-like. Luckily it wasn’t too cold that day, but I could have also thrown on a cardigan and riding boots to make the outfit even more cozy.
