5 Looks for Holiday Parties
Tis the season for holiday parties. Some people look forward to all the events and some don’t. I tend to be in the middle, as I’m quiet in new situations. My favorite part, though, is picking out a new outfit for each get-together. Of course, I have things in my closet that I could wear, but it’s much more fun getting something new. Each party is different, some are casual and some are dressy. When trying to find the perfect outfit, you need to first know the dress code, and then decide how much you want to spend on your new getup. For this post, I’ve picked out five looks for different holiday events.
The first is for my family’s Christmas party. We are very, very casual. Jeans and a T-shirt would work, but come on, it’s Christmas, step it up!
The second look is for a girl’s night out. We’ll be going to a hotel bar for drinks first and then a nice restaurant for dinner, so I want to be fashionable yet comfortable for the fun night.
I have a New Year’s Eve wedding to attend at the end of the year, so that’s where I plan on wearing the third look. I’ve been debating whether or not to wear a sparkle dress or an LBD. I love glitter, but it’s not my day, so I decided to go with a tame but fun strapless LBD.
My fourth look is for a neighbor’s holiday party. I never know what to wear to these events. Plus, I’m new to the neighborhood and only know a few people. You don’t want to be too causal or too dressy. I feel that this is a good in-between outfit. You can also wear it all the time!
Finally, my last outfit is for a work holiday party. It’s a first for me, since I started the job less than a year ago. I asked a co-worker what to wear, and she said a dress. This is the most versatile dress I’ve ever owned; you can wear it all year long and to just about any event.
I hope this post gives you some ideas to make your life a little easier during this busy time of year. And don’t forget, you can sell your gently used holiday outfits to your local Clothes Mentor for some extra spending cash. Have a merry, happy, healthy holiday season!
