Bundle Up and Get Outdoors

Let’s face it, winter can be annoying. It’s cold, dry and you mainly have to stay inside if it’s cold where you live. Here in Minnesota the weather has its ups and downs. For example, we’ve had high temps of 1 degree and then last week it got up to 40 degrees for a few days in a row. With the warmer weather, I looked for some activities to do outside in the sun. Snowshoeing caught my attention. At a local park, I was able to rent snowshoes for only $5. How could I pass that up?! I threw on my favorite pair of Sorel boots, dark-green coat and gloves from The North Face and a cozy Love Your Melon hat and headed out the door. Turns out snowshoeing is really fun, and the fresh air was fantastic! We are only halfway done with winter, so I hope you find a fun outdoor activity that can keep you busy until the sun comes back for more than a few days. Or take a warm vacation!

  1. I like walking in sparkly fresh snow and throwing the ball to my dog. She loves the snow and jumps, dives and rolls in it!

    Sunny days are the best!

  2. My favorite cold weather activities are sledding with my nephew, skiing, and sipping hot chocolate inside with friends. My Sorel boots, SmartWool hat and gloves, and North Face jacket keep me warm and cozy while doing these things. 🙂
