Athleisure in the City!
I’ve said it many times before but I love athleisure! It’s so easy to throw on and go. This summer, I joined my local Pilates studio to help me get into shape for my wedding. I’ve also experienced many other benefits such as better sleep and a more positive mood. I highly suggest you try it! Since I’m on my bucket-list kick and need to get into shape, I decided to head to a lake in the city called Calhoun. It’s beautifully located in Minneapolis and perfect for people watching. I love scoping out what others are wearing. There is a wide range of outfits – I’ve seen people on their lunch break wearing ties and dress shoes, but I’ve also seen people nearly naked enjoying the beach (like I said, great people watching). It was a chilly day; perfect for layers. I have a weird addiction to North Face Jackets, so I found my lightest weight jacket that’s perfect for running. Luckily it warmed up really fast and I shed the jacket. I subscribe to Fabletics; it can be a hit-or-miss with the fit but I really enjoy this asymmetrical top. Someone once told me my leggings make me look like I can run fast, so I try to wear them as much as possible! The distance around the lake is about 3 miles so after a slow jog/walk I rewarded myself with ice cream.
What are your favorite activities to stay healthy? Any advice?
